Ain't She Beautiful?

It’s about midnight and I was sitting here, my wife snoring beside me and my newborn baby girl cooing and gurgling in her bed, and I was thinking to myself… I never would have imagined in a million years that this is where I would be at this point in my life; about to turn 37, proud husband to a beautiful wife, proud father of a beautiful baby girl, owner of a struggling web design business and a part-time retail sales manager, living in Napa, California of all places…

Of course I could imagine a million scenarios for how my life could have turned out, many include Drew Barrymore, a few even include Johnny Depp (think what you will, I care not), most of them have me turning out to be a famous author, filmmaker or some other creative genius, a good portion of them end up with me living in Santa Cruz or Sidney or even London, but none of them had me doing exactly what I am doing right now & exactly where I am doing the things that I am doing.

When it gets right down to it, though, when it gets down to the nitty-gritty of it all, I wouldn’t trade where I am right now for any of it. Even if you DID throw in Drew…
